Famous classics, local evergreens or up-and-coming pictures of the Austrian movie industry, open air cinema is part of the Viennese urban summer experience, such as ice cream and sweaty public transportation. But be aware spontaneous summer rain and thirsty mosquitos are always part in the mix. But the hosts are usually well prepared for smaller inconveniences and offer rain coats and mosquito protection.

Open Air Cinemas have become a must in the city. Though cinematographs may argue, but watching and old classic beneath the stars is probably the most enjoyable form of watching and Vienna must not be ashamed of its offer:
